Streaming music in Internet

I will tell you know how to stream your music over the internet. The first thing that you need is:
1) You should have a Linux Distro ready to be used
2) A real IP address on that Linux.

Here we go now, login to your root and write these commands, to download shoutcast on your root:
wget http://www.shoutcast.com/downloads/sc1-9...bc6.tar.gz


So now we need to extract shoutcast now:
tar -zxvf shoutcast-1-9-2-linux-glibc6.tar.gz


The next step is to tidy up the root a little:
rm -rf shoutcast-1-9-2-linux-glibc6.tar.gz
mv shoutcast-1-9-2-linux-glibc6 shoutcast
cd shoutcast


Now we need to configure shoutcast:
pico sc_serv.conf
or with this command:
nano sc_serv.conf
we can configure on how many users can listen on our radio, the password of administration and some other options.


Now we need to save the changes we made:
CTRL+X


And the last step is to start the shoutcast server:
./sc_serv sc_serv.conf


You need to install the shoutcast plug-in in your pc with winamp, then just write the IP to the shoutcast plugin, dont forget it must be the real IP of the root where shoutcast server is installed.

I've got no choice unless i want dialup for broadband clarkii.

Shoutcast is a good way for most people really to stream a radio like SAM3, now its on Linux it might be better with more free radio's...
