Anyone here check out surface?
Looks expensive, but very cool. Only time will tell what it can/will become, or if the whole world wants a pile of digital photo's on the coffee table...

RE: Anyone here check out surface?
This is just awesome!
Just imagine this in a bar or restaurant, ordering on the table, paying with your credit card by just laying it on the table
and the great opportunities of it when using it in companies...

but still I don't know why this got posted in the gaming section Wink

Dont know if i could trust it though with credit details.

Also, a coffee table? Not very convient for all Companies as they'd now have to have a few $1000 tables Tongue

RE: Anyone here check out surface?
the "use in companies" wasn't about coffetables Big Grin

i mean just imagine what these tables could do with mobile devices for example.
if a company is specialized on mobile devices they could put different MDs on those tables, with direct connection
with a few new APIs new and fast ways to produce mobile software could be invented
I guess this is a technology that could be useful in the next time

RE: Anyone here check out surface?
yh.. like the interactivity could be large scale on a floor. that would be quite cool. it could point out the devices the person is carrying tht is standing on that place.

would look cool but not exactly something that someone would want to spend all that money on.

i think it will be more useful for various people to sit round and plan out ideas in a group, this is probably a good one for businesses.

yeh looks ace, i think this would bew good for businesses, maybe like a huge board room table u know? i would still love one lol, would look ace in my futuristic flat lol, but man its gonna cost a bomb when they truely unleash it in nov of dec lol, i still dont get get how the table will interact with ur phone, strange if u dont have to buy a special fone or like thing to make it work, and your phone, would it use the interent and bluetooth or something??

tis an intriging piece of technology

Quote:Microsoft says businesses will start deploying the machines in retail and entertainment settings in November. Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Harrah's Entertainment and T-Mobile are among those planning to use Microsoft Surface.

This looks fricken AWESOME!!! Read the article and watch the video on the site also! The part where you can just put something on it and it will recognise it is unbeleivealbe to me, like a cell phone in the T Mobile Video.
