Install Debian from Windows
I saw this on J!nx earlier today and thought it was pretty cool.

This may further increase the amount of people that will give Linux a try. I haven't read all about it, but it seems like it would simplify things for the computer illiterate or those that have trouble booting CDs and such.

RE: Install Debian from Windows
Pretty much. ^^ Except it is a bit more manual.

Wubi is automatic actually. It downloads the file and you restart and it installs itself.

RE: Install Debian from Windows
Yeah, but for me, it gave me the wrong file. It recognized my system as something else, when it is i386. So I had to manually go to the directory and retrieve the file URL and plug it into the installer.

EDIT: I tried the new version, and it worked correctly! w00t
