RE: AntiVirus
I use AntiVir too and I'm totally happy with it.

Haven't got a major problem with viruses since I got it (compared to the times I used Norton, I had some big problems with it)
Altough I won the Premium Version for about 3 months and I tested and really liked it! There are some very nice features like
- RootKit - Scanning
- Ad-Spyware-Blocker (altough I kept using spybot)
- Email-Scanner
and so on

RE: AntiVirus
Well, I had some problems with Norton as I said (I guess it was 04, but can't tell really)
And another thing I don't like about Norton is that it's just big and slow. I hated to wait until Norton started up and to navigate in the program itself was just terribly slow, so that's something I like about AntiVir too, because it's pretty slim

RE: AntiVirus
Yes Norton is a VERY BIG resource hog. That is why most experts don't like it. It may have very good detection rates, but not worth the computer slow down. For a free AV, I suggest Active Virus Shield. One of the best free ones out there. Please follow this tutorial on installing it though to get the best protection possible! Important tutoial HERE. As for a shareware version, NOD32 hands down! Best protection out there in my opinion. Extermley low memory usage, and awesome huerisitic and detection rates. I have used it and no probles at all. I also reccomend Webroot's Spy Sweeper with it. With those two running on your system, you will have no malware or virus problems ever again on your PC!!!!

RE: AntiVirus
yeh but i have norton 07, i find there is hardly any start up time, my computer has 768mb of RAM and it still runs pretty fast, when i start up u hardly notice that norton is running, yet it does slow to fuck when it begin a scan but overall i find to be a very health investment,
im pretty happy with it

also AVG like scaned my computer 3 time before it found any viruses, it like scanned my computer 3 time, in the scan, man that is annoying

RE: AntiVirus
i still think norton is over priced even if the 07 edition seems to be better.

especially when freeAV is free

AVG is bad though...
