Need a good movie making/editing program
Hello all,

Well a few of my buddies and I are doing a project for school, and we have a lot of video footage that we have to make into a film for this project. I happen to be the "tech" in the group so I am in charge of putting all the footage together and adding subtitles, transitions, voice over's etc. Basically I am asking for recomendations of any good programs that would help me put a good movie/project together. I will admit I am quite new to the video area of computing, but I fell once I play around with it I can easily get it done. Any recommendations you have are highly appreciated, even if it is shareware we will purchase a copy of it if it is a great program and easy to use. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks again,

Well you aren't really going to find any freeware or even for cheap. $140 will get you Adobe Premiere Elements. I don't really know of much else for Windows. I mean, there is movie maker, but...yeah.

On the record: Windows Movie maker. it's your best bet. the Vista one is a little better than XP's , idk if you can get it for XP if you run that.... but overall it will do what you need, to the minimum requirements.

Off the record (take it how you want): I would say that if you knew how to torrent or partaked in torrenting activity, which can be illegal, you could get a copy of Cyberlink Powerdirector like I have. It is a badass application for what you need, and will easily do everything you want. and yes adobe premeire elements as stated above.

I heard that Sony Vegas 8 was really good, people on YouTube use it a lot for montages and random videos.

By the way, windows movie maker is already good enough. It is a freeware and is already pre-installed on computer with a windows operating system and you should also use it with super converter which is also a freeware. http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html
