XFX GeForce 8600GT XXX Edition 256mb ram


i'm thinking of upgrading and i need a card thin enough to not block the PCI slot next to the PCIe slot that this will go in. this one is thin enough aparently and not a bad card looking at the reviews so what does anyone else think?

Why don't you get the new 8800GT one? I mean, it's not a great improvement over the 8600, but I think you might as well if you're getting one now. I'm currently waiting for some of the newer cards to come out (second gen dx10 cards) so I can either get those for cheap or get one of the newer cards from ATI or nVidia if I have the money.

Price maybe? lol. Hes not that much of a gamer to pay more for a gfx card then most of the parts in the setup itself...

Nvidia is the best way to go at the moment, as sad as it sounds for me (ATI user) .

all the 8800 are too fat to fit in my motherboard without covering up the next PCI slot and i need all my PCI slots

its a tad out my price range too but i'd love an 8800GTX
