That's a long time in terms of technology though I guess. I just saw the windows 7 thing on gizmodo. A bit excessive.

Windows 98 = 1998
Windows 98SE = 1999
Windows 2000 = 2000
Windows ME = 2000
Windows XP = 2001
(This range being the most excessive period)

But to stay on topic, and my point was the DX10 graphics support, and the impossibilty of upgrading XP from DX9 to DX10. The game Crysis is the best example of DX10 I know of to date. Congratulations on your ability to upgrade cards though. I'm still stuck with mine.
