The final US "revolution" debate
Okay, well now ive created a thread purely on this so we wont go off topic.

In a previous thread:

Syntax_Error Wrote:Oh bitch hell no you didn't. you don't get the last word with a biased statement like that. Anyone that feels the need may research the Revolutionary War themselves and see that if it were that low priority, why were so many troops sent. We had a home court advantage with faster communication and supply movement... I'm not taking a biased opinion, but seriously... wiki is about 2 feet away on the interwebz.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolutionary_war

1) Wiki's not exactly the best source on the inet
2) It was probably written by an American so bias is on both sides.

Okay "so many troops", i havent researched it in our History lessons so some of my info may be wrong. (Our schools think real revolutions were more important and real wars). Yes i am a biased bitch.

Wasnt our empire busy fighting France at the time when British farmers decided that they had PMS and wanted to break loose. I'm almost certain that the amount of troops sent to America was no where near as large as there was fighting in Europe at the time. Basically for the fact that we believed France, etc. was more valuable.

Also, didn't you get help off the French? (ha)

RE: The final US "revolution" debate
so not worth arguing over. Due to the administrating team here, more than half of the board members are from the UK, and arguing on the internet is like winning the Special Olympics as everyone knows.

theres plenty of fights over this by educated professionals available via google. Don't expect me to argue in here about it. just lettin ya know. not worth the effort.

RE: The final US "revolution" debate
Are revolutions more than like civil strife? I am not sure about this. For my history lessons, i am having on about 2000BC? to like 100AD.. So i'm not that sure about it and am reading wikipedia. :o
