I </3 Linux. Connection dead.
Okay well i've been asked to install a script (perl i think .sh). I've been using sftp and ssh to do my stuff.
Steps, moved the scripts to the root directory. ran install.sh by chmod'ing then ./install.sh Went into /etc/asterix/extensions.conf and added: " #include extensions_mssg.conf include => usermessage " And the server lost connection. The server is astlinux and i was installing asterix. Any chance i can fix this easily? Thanks. As some know, i'm clueless to linux. ByteForums: Rules | Challenges | PHP Tutorials | Myspace | Youtube

RE: I </3 Linux. Connection dead.
.sh is a bash script. Usually you have to do ./configure before installing.

RE: I </3 Linux. Connection dead.
Ah but would it result in a problem directly with the server normally. Seems to me that it would be extremely unstable for linux so i'm trying not to believe it.

RE: I </3 Linux. Connection dead.
What would be unstable? AstLinux is just a linux distro with Asterisk preinstalled.

RE: I </3 Linux. Connection dead.
Yeah. I've heard that's it's really hard to configure it. I know there was an old episode of systm that kinda showed how to configure it. They made it ring a monkey sound or something: http://revision3.com/systm/asterisk
EDIT: They actually have the conf files on those page, so you can just use those! The key to life is sincerity. Once you can fake that, you’ve got it made. - Groucho Marx |
