Network file sharing

Alright so I am using a xp machine to share an internet connection with a vista machine.

I was wondering how I set it up so that I can share files between these computers. I honestly have no clue. I can do it just fine when everything is seperate but with ICS it's different I guess

Cant you just create a shared documents folder and connect to it by...

\\computername

should work too

It's just the server name. I'm not sure if it would work with IP addresses. It usually works like \\servername\share. A lot of times firewalls block it. I found this out when trying to network my printer.

i've found that often when servername dosn't work the ip still does. i think its something to with if your using xp home or professional or if your using xp at all
